Tasmania's Great Short Walks
Looking for Walks in Tasmania? We have selected our Top 5 Tasmanian short walks from the 60 Great Short Walks in Tasmania.

20 minute Walk - We rate is as the number one short walk in Tasmania. This gently sloping, but mostly flat, track is one of the most spectacular and easily accessible on the island.

45 minute Walk - Easily the highlight of this walk is the 20 metre high platform where you have awesome views of the forest and river below. Walk the track along the flowing Huon River and take in the special forest atmosphere of this region. Entry fees apply to the Air Walk itself.

90 minute Walk - Follow the track high upon the Freycinet Peninsula National Park to view one of Tasmania's most well photographed beaches - Wineglass Bay. The path is well constructed but can be quite steep at times but the spectacular outlook is well worth the effort.

120 minute Walk - This is surely one of Tasmania's finest treasures. Cradle Mountain rises high above the reflective waters of Dove Lake. There are many opportunities to view this unusual monolith from the easy, and mostly flat walking track around Dove Lake.

15 minute Walk - This may be possibly the most strenuous of all short walks in Tasmania. Most of this 15 minute walk is extremely steep, but for those not willing to take the challenge there is a much more leisurely Chair Lift to take you to the summit of The Nut. Once your are up the top there is also a very easy 60 minute circuit walk around the plateau.
